[He could see that hope in Booker's eyes and all at once he understood what his indecision had been doing to him. To both of them.

He kissed Booker's fingers and then leaned forward to rest his cheek against the other man's palm.]

[He turned his head to kiss Booker's palm. Someone behind them cleared their throat a little insistently, but Nicky barely even noticed.]

Their waiter came back to make sure everything was okay and Nicky finally let go of Booker's hand.]

[ Booker glared over Nicky's shoulder at the the person who was unhappy with their confessions and public affection. If they made an issue of it he would make sure they regretted it. ]

[Joe was gunna be over the fucking moon. Nicky couldn't wait to tell him. Couldn't wait to see his face. If it was anything like the look on Sebastien's face, it was going to make his heart do back flips.

His hands shook a little as he slid the rest of his breakfast into it's box, but he made sure to pack up all the compote and the cream. It was too good to waste and eventually his stomach would settle down enough to finish it.

[ Booker had to untangle himself from Nicky to get his keys out. He took the dorm key off and handed it to him. ]

This will get you back into the room. I locked the door. It shouldn't take me too long to return the truck. Hopefully.

[ Because every second with Nicky was precious now. It was before but now Booker could kiss and touch two things he was very big on. ]

[He took the key and tucked it carefully into his pocket, then rejoined their hands. As if he didn't want to lose Booker's touch just as little as Booker wanted to lose his.

Once they were in the parking lot, however, he glanced around for a moment before using Booker's hand to draw him forward so he could plant a shy kiss against his lips.

By the time Booker got back from returning the truck, Nicky had his laptop open and music playing. All of Booker's books were on the shelves, though not in any particular order, and he had moved on to setting up a little corner space as a kitchenette so that he wouldn't have to always eat in the commons.]

[It could have only been more stereotypical if Nicky had been dancing with the music when Booker came in. He wasn't, though. Just setting up the coffee maker that he'd brought up just for this purpose. It wasn't fancy, but it would keep his boyfriend caffeinated without having to walk somewhere to get his fix.

He startled a little when Booker's voice broke his solitude, but it quickly eased into an amused smile.]

I doubt the school would let me just move into your dorm without actually being a student here.

Yeah, they don't allow that.

[ But what Booker could see right now was a glimpse of his future. An apartment somewhere, Nicky puttering around the kitchen, and Joe in the background. An actual home something he and Nicky had never really experienced. ]

Okay, I guess I'll start on my clothes since you're handling that.

[ He really wanted to make out with Nicky but work first. That was more important even if it didn't feel important.

So, he grabbed a box labeled 'clothes' and dragged it over to the closet to hang stuff up. He didn't dress as punk as before but his wardrobe was still mostly dark colors and punk looking.

The only difference was Booker left the door to the room open so other folks could poke their heads in and say hello which happened a few times. Booker introduced himself and everyone instantly knew he was American and not native French.

And he introduced his boyfriend. There was a note of pride in his voice each time. ]

[He was caught off guard the first time that Booker called him his boyfriend, but he was quick to wave and smile, introducing himself easily. After all, he was Booker's boyfriend.

It was the tiniest dorm reserved for freshmen...but for that moment, it was home.]

[ Even with the interruptions they got through the boxes in a reasonable amount of time. It felt like it took longer to carry all the torn down boxes to the dumpster.

[Stairs sucked. Moving sucked. But having the dorm all set up and looking like it was ready to be lived in? That was kind of awesome.
