[ Nicky's French was getting better but he still couldn't quite get the vowels sounds right. The Italian kept getting in the way. Booker's was a little less rusty. ]
The university assigned this day. Don't blame me.
[ He wiped the sweat from his forehead with his shirt and grinned at Nicky. They still had half his stuff to move but he was really glad to have his friend here. He still had a pretty raw ache in his chest from leaving the others behind and Nicky helped. ]
I'm just glad I've got a single room.
[ The idea of rooming with some stranger had messed with his head so Booker fought really hard to be alone instead. ]
